A God of War live service game has just been killed by Sony, along with another live game from another studio.

While the older God of War games are some of the best that PlayStation has to offer, no one would blame you for not enjoying them, as they are somewhat dated. There's an alternative order that can ease you into the God of War universe: playing the Norse Saga before the Greek Saga.

PlayStation's entry into the live-service market has been rocky at best, last year scoring a big win with Helldivers 2 while also suffering a setback with the shockingly abrupt shutdown of the online first-person shooter Concord, which resulted in the closure of developer Firewalk Studios.
