A Knoxville man is dead after a truck ran into the back of a parked tractor trailer on I-40 east at Exit 407 to Sevierville early Tuesday morning.

A Knoxville man died after a crash at the 407 exit of I-40 Monday, according to the Sevierville Police Department.

Charles A. Cox, 28, of Knoxville, died in a crash in the early morning hours of March 11 on Interstate 40. Cox's pickup truck crashed into the back of a semi truck parked on the shoulder along I-40 East at Exit 407 at about 2:30 a.m., according to a news release from the city of Sevierville. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
