Jack Della Maddalena defeated Belal Muhammad for the UFC Welterweight Championship at UFC 315 over the weekend. Dana White revealed the extent of Muhammad's injuries.

Still, to his credit, Muhammad came out at UFC 315 trying to show those hands off. He didn’t shy away from exchanges with Maddalena, staying in the pocket and looking to land.

Belal Muhammad (24-4-0-1) joined the UFC with a 9-0 record. Not long after Muhammad claimed the Titan FC welterweight crown, the UFC came knocking. Muhammad signed with the promotion in 2016.

But Della Maddalena got up, and unloaded on Muhammad with big punches to the head and body as they both went for a finish until the clock ran out, giving the Australian the win (48-47, 48-47, 49-46).

Jack Della Maddalena became the new welterweight champion after besting Belal Muhammad in a thrilling five-round slugfest at UFC 315.
