The Los Angeles Angels and Atlanta Braves have made a late spring trade. They already connected on a trade this offseason that sent Jorge Soler to the City of Angels. Now, they are switching pitchers. The Angels sent long reliever Jose Suarez to the Braves in exchange for starter Ian Anderson, per New York Post insider Jon Heyman.

The Angels and Braves exchanged pitchers on Sunday, with Atlanta sending right-hander Ian Anderson to the Angels for left-hander José Suarez. Anderson, who underwent Tommy John surgery in 2023 and hasn’t pitched in the Majors since 2022,

Anderson was the No. 3 overall draft pick in 2016, the same year he led Shenendehowa to a Class AA state championship.
