The first episode of Severance season two dropped on Friday, close to three years after the first season finale, which ended on a cliffhanger. However, the show’s creator, Dan Erickson, told The Hollywood Reporter that he began working on its second season “before [season one] came out.”

The actor, 81, made the revelation alongside his costars as they promoted the just-released second season of the Apple TV+ original on Thursday’s episode of Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, “Andy Cohen Live.”
