Franklin County and two dozen other Ohio counties are under winter weather advisory from midnight Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday as one to two inches of snow is expected to fall overnight and into the morning.

The same storm that is expected to dump 3-6 inches of snow from parts of North Texas across the Mid-South to the Mid-Atlantic states will brush Ohio later on Friday. A winter weather advisory goes into effect Friday afternoon for the west-central and southwest Ohio,

While cold temperatures will continue to stick around, the area will get a break from the snow on Thursday. The National Weather Service’s forecast calls for highs to reach the mid 20s with light breezes throughout the day.
