The oldest known tablet inscribed with the Ten Commandments from the Old Testament is expected to fetch up to $2 million when it goes up for auction next month.

The oldest known stone tablet of the 10 Commandments which had been used as a paving slab for 30 years is now up for auction for just $2 million.

For thirty years, the plaque served as a paving stone at the entrance of a house, with the inscription facing up and exposed to foot traffic.

The oldest stone tablet depicting the Ten Commandments will be auctioned again, more than a hundred years after it was first discovered.

A stone tablet, inscribed with the Ten Commandments from the Old Testament Bible, is set to be auctioned in New York next month for up to $2 million.

Next month, the auction house will offer the oldest inscribed stone tablet of the Ten Commandments, dating back to 300 to 800 C.E. The 1,500-year-old artifact is expected to fetch up to $2 million during the single-lot sale on December 18.
