Several states issued snow-related emergencies after an Arctic blast swept through parts of the central and eastern United States.

Snow will end for some parts of New Jersey as early as Monday afternoon and evening, but snow showers could linger past midnight for parts of South Jersey expecting the highest snowfall totals. National Weather Service Snow has overspread all of New Jersey as of late Monday morning and snow showers are expected to continue into the evening for most of the state.

Light snow is possible later in the morning and into the afternoon on Monday, mainly for New Jersey, New York City, and Long Island, the National Weather Service said.
