A shooting claimed the life of a man in Northeast, D.C. Monday afternoon, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

According to the Denton Police Department, first responders found 19-year-old Cody Stewart unresponsive on the ground in the 200 block of Normal St. while responding to a shooting call. Stewart had a gunshot wound, and despite lifesaving measures, he died at the hospital, police said.
