Deputies responded to a call from a 14-year-old victim disclosing that she was sexually abused by a Hispanic male

San Jose detectives have arrested a man authorities allege was trafficking a teen for commercial sex work. According to police, detectives following up on a call for service found evidence of potential human trafficking involving a minor on Jan.

The man, a resident of San Jose, was arrested by SJPD detectives on Feb. 7 on suspicion of human trafficking of a minor, police said. The arrest was conducted by the human trafficking task force and covert response unit, with help from the internet crimes against children unit.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) made more than 20 arrests and rescued four victims in human trafficking operations conducted in the Permian Basin throughout the month of January.
