An 18-year-old accused of fatally shooting a woman in the head, sparking a day-long police search in Southeast Portland, turned himself in Thursday, police said. Kamari N. Gates was arrested in connection with the death Tuesday of 38-year-old LaToya Hill, police said.

Portland and Gresham authorities are responding to a shooting in Southeast Portland on Tuesday morning, with SWAT teams arriving at the scene near 5900 SE 136th Avenue around 9:30 a.m.
