The Utah Hockey Club has claimed defenseman Nick DeSimone from waivers by the New Jersey Devils. DeSimone, 30, had two goals and seven points in 34 games last season, split between the Devils and Calgary Flames.

The New Jersey Devils lost one of their depth defenseman on Sunday afternoon. After placing Nick DeSimone on waivers on Monday, Jan. 4, the 30-year-old was claimed by the Utah Hockey Club. New Jersey acquired DeSimone on Jan.
