Joseph Khalil Aoun (/ aʊ n /; Arabic: جوزاف خليل عون; born 10 January 1964) is a Lebanese politician and general who became the 14th president of Lebanon on 9 January 2025. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] He was appointed as the 14th Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces in 2017.
