The King Kamehameha V Judiciary History Center is the permanent education facility and history museum of Hawaii’s Supreme Court. We exist to interpret and inform the public about the judicial process and Hawaii’s legal history from wa kahiko (the past) through keia manawa (present day).

A young, energetic, small museum, the King Kamehameha V – Judiciary History Center focuses on traditional Hawaiian concepts of law and the development of a Western judicial system.

For over 30 years, the King Kamehameha V Judiciary History Center has served as a bridge between the Hawaii State Judiciary and our greater community. Located within Aliiolani Hale, the Judiciary History Center is an administrative program of the State Judiciary and a permanent educational institution.
