They've had the same primary obstacle -- lack of a franchise QB. Yet the Niners have an amazing roster and two SB appearances. I think people have been unfair to Chris Ballard for a long time.

That would hurt BOTH quarterbacks. AR needs the reps more than ever. Besides this is a poor class of QBs. They will be over-drafted.

If he’s working out and the Colts are seeing signs he’s the guy I think he’s stays. If the Colts feel AR is a bust then I think Ballard is shown the door.

This happens to every team (besides Luck retiring), but we're 5 years removed from that. Ballard has since led a thorough search for a new coach who is undeniably HIS choice and he's landed the QB HE wanted. There are no more excuses.

Guilt by association, not because of ability. Thats why I described hiring one of Dodds or Brown as the easiest, simplest, cleanest move to make. Much less risk.

He has a horrible record as a GM, and it is not going to change. I hear people say it is Gus and yes it is to a point. Ballard has put tons of money and assets into this D line.
