The judiciary of Thailand (Thai: ฝ่ายตุลาการไทย; RTGS: Fai Tulakan Thai) is composed of four distinct systems: the Court of Justice, the Administrative Court, military courts, and the Constitutional Court of Thailand.

The legal profession in Thailand has three categories: judges, public prosecutors, and lawyers. Legal practice is based upon the civil law system with the code of law influenced by other codified systems such as France , Germany and Japan as well as customary laws of Thailand .

The panels of judges in the intellectual property and international trade court and the labour court consist of both professional judges and lay judges. Lay judges, recruited separately, work in collaboration with professional judges to adjudicate cases.

The Supreme Court of Thailand (Thai: ศาลฎีกา, romanized: San Dika), located in Bangkok, Thailand, is the highest Thai court of justice, covering criminal and civil cases of the entire country.

Thai judges are governed by the Regulation of the Judicial Service Act B.E. 2543 (AD 2000). The Judicial Service Commission is the governing body responsible for the appointment, promotion, transfer, and removal of judges, and has disciplinary power over them.

Thailand does not have a jury system as they have in the United States. There is a judge or judges who specialize in the dispute at hand. Hence Thailand much like other British legal systems has special courts outside of the normal courts.

Judges in Thailand are appointed (and removed) by the king. All appointments are subject to initial approval by a judicial commission. There is no trial by jury in Thailand. The constitution also provided for establishment of a constitutional tribunal to adjudicate disputes among the courts.

These are the Central Juvenile and Family Court, the provincial juvenile and Thai family courts, and the juvenile and family divisions of provincial courts. A quorum in each of them requires two career judges and two lay judges, one of whom must be female.
