Feb 5, 2024 · I know Rotten is down and has been since 2012, but I want to take a look at the site because it was one of the original (shock sites) on the internet. I was thinking the wayback machine but I do not know if there are any ways to access it on there.
People still think Rotten (Tomatoes) is a reliable site?
This basically means Rotten using it's dumbass "evaluating system" a movie which got reviews ranging from 4.5 to 6 out of 10 can get a 100% "tomatometer" if Rotten thinks all those reviewers liked the movie while another movie which also got 4.5 to 6 out of 10 can get a 0% "tomatometer" if Rotten thinks all those reviewers disliked the movie.

The other issue though is, Rotten Tomatoes makes wholly arbitrary judgements about whether a review is "positive" or "negative". Nov 21, 2021 · Rotten Tomatoes makes everything one or the other, they aren’t consistent with their methodology & (as demonstrated in the original graphic for this post) it’s possible for a movie with worse reviews to get a substantially higher percentage rating on Rotten Tomatoes than another movie with much better reviews.
Whats the general consensus here regarding IMDb and Rotten
I find that I rarely agree with Rotten Tomatoes scores but the comments from critics are helpful. Metacritic always rates films lower than Rotten Tomatoes but again the comments from critics are the important part. IMDB's user reviews are good, but the ones at the top all tend to love the movie and give it a high score.

Rotten Tomatoes: Why Do The Critics And The Audience Scores
One very simple reason. Critics are not anonymous, and reviewing is their source of income. Random guy #238167 is not going to get sued, fired or lose followers if he thinks the new popular franchise movie is pure dogshit.

Mar 13, 2022 · Well Ekzykes is the upgrade to Rotten Breath and currently what I use, It's insanely strong definitely FP hungry but the damage is worth the FP. I prefer it over Rotten Breath since I can jump or fall off a ledge and breath attack any mobs standing by, its super useful in fights like Godskin Duo and late game bosses
