SW industrial vs breakthrough for metal repaint
Apr 22, 2018 · so im painting some commercial trim that is all metal (i think iron, not too sure) that have been previously painting in what looks like a high gloss enamel. what would be the better bet: SW dtm industrial, SW alkyd urethane industrial, or the just breakthrough? or, if you guys have any other suggestions, i would love to hear them. thanks.

Jun 16, 2011 · Clean the surface well, clean with tsp then powerwash, then I would use a good quality rust inhibitive metal primer (the acrylics nowadays are close to being as good as the oils, but if you can get oil based products in your area, great!) then use two coats of a good quality industrial finish (semi gloss or gloss) If you can find a Ben Moore store, Pratt & Lambert, PPG, Sherwin Williams, ect.
elevator doors using Scuffmaster solid metal paint

Has anybody here ever sprayed this product before using a HVLP gun if so, do you need to spray so many 4 coats like the videos say. I also was wondering about the inner lip of the elevators how did you paint them.

Painting Metal Bathroom Partitions in place
Nov 27, 2016 · Hello, I need some recommendations as to spraying in place metal restroom partitions. 1) there is no ventilation except one small window. 2) Partitions are stripped to bare metal sanded with 80 grit paper. 3) What type of primer? 4) What type of paint? Mar 18, 2020 · I used the Pro Industrial today and it seems thin and coverage isn't good. I had to play with it for what seemed like a long time? Pro Classic is finicky, too, but I'm used to it. There was a paint 15 years ago that I used quite a bit from Porter paints. It was called Acrylic Eggshell Semigloss and it was a Tremendous trim paint.

Apr 23, 2013 · Rust " inhibiting" paint will only help keep metal from rusting in the first place, does nothing for existing rust. I've only recently discovered khem-kromic and it is awesome. Xylene based so dries real fast(45 min top coat) not much fun to work with, very hot material. I have used rustolem 'rusty metal primer' for lot of years and it holds well.
