Feb 27, 2021 · The reason that water looks shallow on one side of planet at a time, is because there's wave forming on other side of planet (obviously due to gargantua). As the planet oscillates, this side now faces huge waves and thus due to which water at other side becomes shallow. What I mean to say is that water level on the planet isn't actually low.

Nov 29, 2014 · Whats interesting to me is this, however - The entire water planet scene takes roughly 40+/- minutes of the film, even though it feels like it flew by in 10 minutes. So there is actually multiple levels of time dilation happening; Your ten minutes is the movie's 40 minutes, which is Brand / Cooper's 3 hours which is Rommily's 23 years!!

Nov 16, 2014 · That's what I'm guessing. She gave them a thumbs up because 1. She landed and 2. They have water and water = life. Then the water fucked up the data somehow and kept sending thumbs up for the few hours it was there. But I just don't understand why they'd risk living on a planet (or even visiting) that close to a black hole.

Multiply by 24 to get in terms of hours, multiply by 60 to get in terms of minutes, and multiply by 60 to get in seconds and we get 1.409 seconds on Miller's planet = 1 day on Earth
