RIA 9mm problem - 1911Forum
Mar 15, 2022 · I took my recently acquired new RIA 1911 in 9mm to the range today. Fired 3 rounds just fine but from then on refused to extract. I won't extract when fired, but will extract if I rack the slide. The behavior is the same with the magazine removed. I watched some videos, tested the extractor tension, then removed the extractor.

Jul 8, 2013 · I coverted my 1911 from 9mm to 45 cal. Luckily my 9mm didn't have a ramped barrel so the frame works with both cal. I found a complete 45 slide that came assembled made by RIA which is who made my 9mm. I purchased an ejector for the 45 cal which was a breeze to change. All in all the 2 guns cost me about $900.00 with shipping tax the whole 9 yards.

Mar 14, 2012 · Colt 1911 springs will work in non Colt guns as long as the size is the same (FS or Commander for example). Springs for a "Colt FS 1911" would be basically the same as a FS 1911 regardless of make, w/the exception of a main spring like is used in the Springfield Armory 1911 w/the Integral Locking System (I.L.S.), which is shorter.

Jan 26, 2023 · If you like features on your gun get the Rock, you get alot of gun for your money. And the finish is better and the fit is pretty good. I have two Rocks and they are out of the ordinary models. The BBR which is a 3.1 barrel 10+1 double stack all steel carry 1911 pistol. and a full size 1911 in 10mm with a 16+1 capacity.

Oct 6, 2022 · so I just entered the wonderful world of 9mm 1911's with Rock Island (RIA/Armscor) 9mm 1911 full size. The problem is it only comes with one mag. My 'GI' style RIA in 45 took both wilson and mcormack mags, but I tried 9mm wilsons today in the 9mm Ria and they wouldn't feed.
