Still remember Jeff Creamer, one of the SIG big wigs, coming on the Green forum and announced it. But, officially it was named the P225-A1, when it came out. So, folks use the two names interchangeably.

Nov 13, 2017 · The P239 and P225-A1 are almost the same thing. Almost all the parts are shared. If you're deciding between these two, just pick the one that looks better to you. The trigger guard is probably the one noticeable difference between the two. If you wan't something other than 9mm, then the P239 wins.
