January 1, 1965: Here's a look back on the Texas Longhorns 21-17 victory over #1 Alabama in the 1965 Orange Bowl. It was the first college football game to appear on prime time national television. It is also the first New Year's Orange Bowl game played at night. Despite the loss, Alabama quarterback Joe Namath was named the game's most valuable player.
