This afternoons legs. The planing cut with a skew is the most used by spindle turners. The same consistent angle is required for push or pull. The bevel riding the work with only the leading edge of the skew in contact with the tool rest. It’s an easy cut forwards but takes a bit to master the backwards cut. But IMO leaves the best surface of all tools. Here it’s on kiln dried Beech | The woodturners
