A live recording from October 6th, 1967 of Denny Laine and his Electric String Band performing “The Machine Song” at the UFO (Roundhouse) venue in London. This song did not make it onto a single, but Denny played it live during performances in 1967 and also on John Peel’s radio programme, Top Gear, in January 1968. It was praised in a Melody Maker review earlier in 1967, described as having a “whining, ticking almost John Handy-like sound.” Even with the limited quality of this live recording, t
