How far should you stride? It's dependent on your starting stance and how narrow or wide you are in your leg pick up. Check out these different leg pick ups. They have different movements, but get to around the same distance between their feet. Most hitters are 50-60% of their height. The Blue set of feet are an example of what we see with most hitters that have their back foot toeing the chalk line. Most often we see them step out/step open.
